FAQ

  • Yes, it’s completely free to enter the Design Systems Awards

  • No, not necessarily, as you’ll have to submit a use case of your design system, so having a public and accessible design system isn’t mandatory.

  • The design system awards are open to all individuals or companies who fit the entry criteria of the categories

  • As this is the first awards, we are extending the time frame to include any content from 2021

  • You can only enter each category once; however, you can enter multiple categories if you believe your use case suits more than one category.

  • The entry deadline is 01 September 2023

  • Winners of the Design Systems Awards will receive an award, recognition at the awards ceremony, and a featured spot on our website and social media channels. But more than that, they will join a community of like-minded professionals who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with design systems.

  • We plan to host a physical awards ceremony in London by the end of this year, but we plan to live stream the event for those unable to travel.

  • There are no tool restrictions, all design systems can apply.

  • Winners are selected based on a point system by combining the jury’s overall score and a public vote. We decided to include a public vote to involve the community in this unique competition. We hope the approach provides even more diversity and different perspectives to result in more equable scores.

To arrive at the category winner, we’ll add up the points from the jury and public votes for each finalist. The finalist with the highest total points will be declared the winner in their respective category.

If we have two finalists with the same final score, then we’ll have two winners for that category. After all, they both deserve it if this scenario happens! 🙂
