Releases allow you to take a snapshot of your styleguide.

For styleguide editors, releases give you an easy way to manage publishing changes. You can always keep a work-in-progress version of your design system private and release changes after they’ve been approved.

When you’re ready to release changes, you can give them a unique name to help your viewers understand what’s changed.

And to get more eyes on your work, you can send a Slack notification when a new release is available.

For styleguide viewers, it’s easy to switch back and forth between published releases to see what’s changed.
